Hacket Residence
The Project:
On this classic Victorian home set back off a tree-lined side street in Wayne, PA, Hancock Building professionals installed a new Certainteed Grandmanor Roof System. The system consists of new 18' Tapersawn cedar shakes and ridge ventilation. Half-round copper gutter and downspouts accent the rooflines of the house, as do the star-shaped snow guards symmetrically placed on the north side of the roof.Vinyl siding was chosen to cover the exterior wall of the house, perfectly complementing the stone turret and lower foundation. To obtain needed light on the porch, skylights were installed on the south side of the house. The skylights were lined with flashing to provide a waterproof seal.
