Christmas Tree Donation

In coordination with the non-profit Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Rugby Football Club, Hancock, once again, organized a Christmas Tree sale this holiday season. Each year extra trees are donated to needy families.

The PWRFC sells approximately 50 trees per year. The remaining trees are donated to needy families through organizations like the Community Youth and Women Alliance of Coatesville and the Salvation Army of Coatesville.

In 2006, Jennifer Smith reported from The Community Youth and Women Alliance of Coatesville that all the trees were gone, just four hours after they had been dropped off. Just like that, they had all been picked up by families in need! That is what the holidays is all about! Over thirty families had the smell of pine and added holiday cheer in their home that they otherwise would not have been able to afford.

The Salvation Army had the same success.

Each holiday season, Hancock, Keith McLean and the boys of PWRFC are responsible for added holiday cheer and good will for over 60 families, who otherwise could not afford it.
